Weekly advice - Sometimes we make life very difficult for ourselves. We have a great ability to create our own stress. We may refuse to see the good in anything or anyone. We sometimes refuse to count our blessings and complain about lack. We will criticize, judge or blame others because we forget when our choices were not wise. What we don't seem to realize is that when we voice words of struggle and strife we draw more of it into our experience. We create our own well-being according to the way we conduct our mind, mouth and heart. When we expect the best, we get it. When we speak of good, we see it. When we cleanse our hearts of fear, anger and strife, we place ourselves on a higher vibration. If we choose to struggle with the issues of life, they will be very willing to fight us.

Thinking about what we are doing before we do it, is a great way to stay on top of our game.  We have to find a way to weigh the pros and the cons before making a permanent decision regarding something or someone that's designed to be temporary.  My friend, unwise decisions will keep us running from one thing to the next, or better yet, one person to the next; trying to find a quick fix or that quick niche that will pull us to and fro, not knowing which way to turn.

What should we do when life is pulling us in one direction and the people, places and things in our life is pulling us in a different direction?   My friend, when we are being pulled, tugged and pressed, that's our sign to standstill.   Of course, we may want to fix whatever it is or plead our case, but there are times when patience is the key.

As a matter of fact, it is best not to make decisions when we are stressed, pressed or confused.  My friend, we must clear our mind first, evaluate the situation or circumstance and then make a decision if need be.   This will definitely save time and energy from being wasted on undoing or redoing stuff that we should have waited on anyway.

If you don’t speak up for yourself or know what you want in life, anybody can distract and define you. I always listen to Jill Scout and there’s one lyric that speaks loudly to me about the importance of confidence. She sings, “Don’t let nobody hold you back, control you or mold you.” That’s right! Weak, controlling, manipulative and mean spirited people can spot a vulnerable person. Make sure you know what you stand for. Make sure you have your personal success map and stay on course. Every day as dress for the day make sure you also put on your spiritual armor to protect yourself from the arrows of adversity, criticism and misguided people. JEWELS

Prayer:  Father, I am sticking to the plan of standing-still when I am confused, stressed or pressed as You nudge me in the right direction.  Lord, I am taking a time-out to me to make sure that I do not overlook opportunities that are hidden under the stress and confusion of life.  Today, I am getting a grip on my life to ensure that it does not have a grip on me anymore.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
